Using TOS to trade papermoney futures.
Hey everyone,
I've decided to start testing the water of the futures market. I believe this will be my next stop along my journey through the markets to find what fits me well. I already had a thinkorswim account on my computer so I just restarted it up and started to get comfortable with the different trading layout. Needless to say I will be going back through Shoot's Pro Course again and again now to figure out how to better understand volume and it's connection with price action.
Godspeed traders!

I meant to write this here but it showed up on the other post. Still getting used to this.
But that comic was funny as hell.

Sarge!
So this is what you've been up to? I thought you were in a bunker somewhere hiding out from all my pestering on skype! Haha well I wish you the best of luck. I have a few things up my sleeve as well and I may be taking a hiatus from my trading blog for some more market education. I may post more on it later.

Best of luck to you sir, and also remember that you also bought my personal support with the course, so once you start losing your ass in futures I'll be there as a shoulder to cry on.
No seriously, any questions along the way, any at all, will enrich your learning experience (which I know you southerners are not too keen on, unless it has something to do with fried okra).
Shoot.

Futures
Hey all,
I didn't catch this one on video, or my Russell 2000 trades from yesterday. I still getting the hang of this layout but all in all the trading is by the same principles in forex, I just have more to choose from with volume there as an aid. Here's my recent Mini Gold Futures Trade.
Thanks for stopping by,

Hey Sarge,
Pretty solid trade there. There was also some resistance at that level!
Happy trading!

Sarge,
Did you have any problems at all with the price ladder on TOS papertrade? When I first started using TOS papermoney I kept trying to send orders, but the ladder is so delayed behind the chart price that it wouldn't allow me to place the orders a lot of the time. I then began to use Apex's Infinity AT platform for placing orders alonside the TOS charts. They are synced almost perfectly so it's a great learning setup. Just a suggestion.
Good luck and keep us in the loop with your futures progress as this my main focus.

My No Show
Hey all,
I made a quick call on Gold this morning right before class. Saw a no show, took it a bit late but I took it to where I thought it would go and made a quick fake $30.
Thanks for stopping by,

Hey Sarge,
How has the futures market been treatin' you? Do you like it more than forex thus far and if so is it because of the different price action or the addition of volume?
